"....we were exstatic with our finished home"
Job# 30897-01-E & 80897-01-S
Our situation had several elements that made it uniquely challenging. First, we had owned the home for less than three months and had personally spent less than 36 hours in it so we had only a handful of pre-fire pictures and very little familiarity with the existing structure. Second, we live in Minnesota and knew we would have to manage the project from a distance. Third, we were under extreme time pressure as my parents needed to be reestablished in the home by January of 2016. Finally, there were substantial design flaws in the original construction and we knew early on in the process that we were going to make significant changes in the floor plan.
Given all of these challenges, we are ecstatic with our finished home. With the help the team at Kowalski, we were able to create a revised house plan and apply for a permit in less than 60 days. The new plan allowed for vastly improved bathrooms, additional closet space and a phenomenal kitchen and great-room area. In addition, we were able to completely transform the look-and-feel of the interior through the use of updated flooring and more contemporary finishes.
Most importantly, my parents have now moved into the home and are enjoying the space immensely. Despite significant headwinds, Ron, our Kowalski project manager, helped realize a vision that went beyond an ordinary rebuild.

"You went above and beyond the call of duty"
Job# 30845-01-E & 80845-01-S
I am so sorry that it took me so long to get this letter written to You. As, I think You know, I lost my Son in August of last year, and then Herman (Bud) passed away on November 6th of last year. My life has been in turmoil for the past 2-1/2 years with the fire, the Loss of my Son and Bud, moving to another city and starting life over again. Anyway, please accept my apology for being so late in getting this letter to You.
First of all, I want to thank Kowalski Construction for the great job they did in rebuilding our home. I didn't get to see the house after it was completed because I moved to Fort Mohave, Az. I have spoken to my neighbors on the right side if You are facing the house, and they tell me the people that purchased the home, just really love the home.
Brad, You went above and beyond the call of duty to help me pick out appliances and other items that had to do with the rebuilding. I was all alone in the decisions re: the house. You had some good suggestions that helped me to choose colors for the home and good ideas on how to decorate it. You came by the temporary house that we were living in to bring papers for us to sign, etc. You don't know how greatly appreciated that was, as I couldn't leave Bud alone because of His illness.
Keep up the good work Brad. You are a very valued Employee for Kowalski Construction Co.
Thanks for everything.
